TESTIMONIALS

At The Green Room Interiors our goal is to build long term relationships with our clients and earn referrals to their families and friends. Here's what some of our clients are saying:

  • "We just moved into a 45 year old rancher that is in desperate need of updating. Kim was quick to respond to my email for an initial meeting. She was punctual which is very important to my husband and me. Kim was very helpful and gave us great ideas on how to lighten up and very dark kitchen. We will be using her and her ideas for our kitchen and master bedroom and bath projects. As we can afford to do the other projects on our to-do list, Kim will be among the first calls we make in the future."

  • "Green Room Interiors designer Kim Lemmon provided design help regarding several custom window treatments throughout my home. She was so helpful, that I decided to extend the project from just window treatments in the kitchen, to a redesign of the breakfast nook there as well. She helped me select a new table and chairs, and arranged for the building of a banquette seat in the nook which my entire family loves. She learned my preferences quickly, stuck to my budget, and I am very happy with the completed projects."

  • "I used Kim for a furniture placement/use of space consultation for our new house. Her creative ideas were extremely helpful and I walked away with notes on every room. We even discussed a way for me to renovate my kitchen sooner than I thought my budget would allow. When the time is right, I plan to reach back out and have her help with the project."

  • "Kimberly is Fantastic even in another city. I reached out to Kimberly from San Antonio Texas to help me with the design renovation of my 1910 home. Her ideas and knowledge about design and materials really helped me maintain the character of my historic home. I highly recommend Kimberly with The Green Room Interiors."

  • "I've never hired an interior designer before; I've always just thrown things together and wondered for years why things never fit into place the way that I wanted them to. When I moved into my new house, I knew that I needed spaces that spoke to—and for—my unique personality. Rooms that would tell my guests who I am and would bring me to life when I spent time in them. I decided to begin with my living room and my office spaces.
I initially heard about The Green Room Interiors when I was visiting another home that I was interested in. At the open house, I commented to the listing agent how much I loved the décor, and she mentioned that the home owners had used The Green Room Interiors to decorate their home. I didn't put an offer in on that home, but ultimately I'm thrilled that I visited!
Kim is great to work with; professional, created, open-minded, and a fantastic listener. She got a sense for my style very early on and used her incredible talents to fine-tune what I like to give me something clean, comfortable, and a little bit eclectic with a color scheme I never would have thought of. The pieces that she found really tied together nicely and all of my guests are always wowed by how nice it turned out. My office is a space that I truly love spending time in; I feel more productive and in my element."

  • "I met Kim in the Lookout Valley Ace Hardware store on the paint chip aisle. I had been staring at 100s of paint chips wondering how in the world I was going to be able to pick out the right shade for the home office I needed to paint. My eyes made contact with the gal a few feet away and I commented, "Whoever would have thought that picking out a light gray paint could be so difficult?"
Most people would nod awkwardly and go back to their own business, but Kim came closer, introduced herself and asked me to tell her about the space I was working on. We talked about my husband's home office: the size, the lighting, and the flooring (outdated teal green carpet, which we weren't ready to replace). Kim totally sympathized with working on a budget and embraced the limitations that came with that.
She reached for a paint chip. "This is what I'd recommend. This is a really nice gray with green
undertones, which will actually help soften the green carpet." She went on to describe how it looked in different lighting situations.
Before I left with my paint, Kim handed me her card and told me about the blog she had recently started. I've been a follower ever since, even though I've never worked with her nor even commented on her blog! When I found her here on houzz, I couldn't pass up the chance to give back in this small way of leaving a review."

  • "I contacted Kim Lemmon at the end of 2013 when we purchased our Signal Mtn home. I was living in Birmingham and found her online. I hired her to help me pick a few new paint colors and help with the furniture layout for the main living area. Once I met her and we started the project, I knew I had picked the right designer. Kim gave me some fabulous ideas and we were able to use most everything I already had. Kim listened to my thoughts re: the things in our home that meant the most to us, and she incorporated those things in the design plan. Now, 10 months later, Kim has helped with our basement remodel, picked the colors for the entire house which all flow together so nicely, helped with getting furniture reupholstered, and bookcases built ... all while staying within our budget. Kim will do a great job for you, highly recommended."

  • "I've used Kim for several projects in my home. Her hybrid design services are prefect for our busy lifestyle and our do it yourself mentality. We are young working professionals that appreciate great design with reasonable budgets. There are a few things that are notable about The Green Room interiors. The first is Kim spends your money like it is hers. This isn't always the case with decorators. My husband is extremely frugal and likes Kim! She will go to bat for you if someone trys to overcharge you! Another noteable thing about Kim is she has a marvelous eye for antiques. I'm an antique lover in a new home. There is such a balance there that is hard to make look just right- she can nail it! She finds lovely pieces and spruces them up or can work with new or more modern pieces. Overall, she appreciates quality, as I do! She is easy to work with as well. I never feel like I'm being over charged or as if she is wasting my time. I love the Green Room!"

  • "I highly recommend the Green Room Interiors and Kim Lemmon! When I decided to redecorate my downtown condo I knew I would need help from a professional. I wanted to change the color scheme and replace some of my furnishings, but not all. I had no idea who to call so I did a bit of online searching, saw some of Kim's work and liked her a la carte pricing. She charges a flat fee for the initial consultation, where I felt very comfortable with my choice as we discussed my requirements and preferences and some of her ideas, focusing on the master bedroom and living space which is an open living, dining, kitchen. She also charges a flat fee for each area she designs. I asked about the guest bath and bedroom, and she said the flat fee would be too high so she would just charge hourly for anything she did for those. Then she went to work, took measurements, and came back a week or so later with color palettes, furniture options, floor plans, fabric samples, pricing, etc. I loved what she had come up with! We discussed all the options, made decisions, and discussed how to proceed. You can pay Kim by the hour to do all the shopping and purchasing or you can do it yourself, or a combination. She had all the store and online site information so I did much of the ordering, using Kim when I needed to. Kim is sensitive to price, both her own charges and the cost of products, and looks for good value in the products she recommends. When it came time to accessorize, she used my art and many of my own things and bought a few additional pieces at such reasonable prices. When I wanted to incorporate a few more family photos, she did a beautiful job helping me. We absolutely love the end result and have received raves from our friends! The condo has a completely different look but is still inviting and comfortable and suits our needs perfectly. There are a couple decorative items we still need and Kim is on the lookout - she recently found the perfect oriental pot for my console on ebay for $32! If you are considering making some changes, from a simple update to a complete redo, I highly recommend Kim. She is so easy to work with, sensitive to what YOU like and what you can spend, has great taste and is honest with you about your own ideas. You can't go wrong with The Green Room!"
